From the ashes of history, a great civilization emerged, but the Kastiyans' aggressive nature has persisted throughout time. They utilize their time-space warping and psionic abilities to conquer weaker races as they please. Over countless generations, the Kastiyans have evolved to masterfully manipulate the immortal insect spirit known as "Domorey," or the "Nightmaric Spawn" in their language. This spirit possesses the power to appear anywhere and break through any known physical or magical barriers. Upon bringing Domorey to their home planet, the Kastiyans engraved her spirit into an all-powerful staff now wielded by their King, Zhask. With this staff, Zhask has invaded numerous worlds, enslaving the inhabitants' minds and plundering their resources. His "Plane Dominator" signature has been left on many worlds he has devastated.
One of the spirits sent out by Zhask to scout for ripe worlds was captured by the Saintly Angel Argus, but after Argus' downfall, the spirit escaped and re-established contact with the motherboard. This alerted Zhask to the existence of the Land of Dawn, a world with vast resources ripe for the taking. Zhask wasted no time in landing upon this fabled land, determined to Dominate, Kill and Reap as he has done so many times before.
