The M3 World Championship is the third Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) World Championship, scheduled to take place from December 6 to 19, 2021, in Singapore. A total of 16 teams from around the world will compete in the tournament, including defending champions Bren Esports.
The tournament will be held offline, with Moonton working with local authorities and the Singapore Tourism Board to ensure that the event can be held safely with all COVID-19 prevention measures in place. Moonton has also said that they hope to see live spectators at the event.
The tournament will be divided into two stages: the group stage and the playoffs. The group stage will be played from December 6 to 9, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the playoffs. The playoffs will be played from December 11 to 19, with the grand final taking place on December 19.
The group stage will be played in a single round-robin format, with each team playing each other once. The top two teams from each group will advance to the upper bracket of the playoffs, while the bottom two teams will be placed in the lower bracket. The playoffs will be played in a double-elimination format, with the winners of each match advancing to the next round and the losers being eliminated. The grand final will be a best-of-seven match.
The total prize pool for the M3 World Championship is $800,000. The champion will receive $300,000, while the runner-up will receive $120,000. Third place will receive $80,000, and fourth place will receive $55,000. The remaining teams will receive prize money based on their final placement.
In addition to the prize money, there will also be a number of in-game events for fans to participate in. The M3 Pass will be available for purchase from November 29 to January 2, 2022. Players who purchase the pass will be able to earn rewards by completing tasks, guessing results, and supporting their favorite teams. The M3 Pass will also include a special skin for the hero Roger.
