It was a peaceful night in a remote village on the edge of the Dark Forest. The only sound was the gentle chirping of crickets. But then, the air was filled with the vicious howling of wolves.
Inside a small cabin, a little girl named Ruby was kneeling on her bed, praying. Next to her stood a pair of disproportionately large scythes. She was praying for the return of the legendary hunter, Roger. Only he could save the village from the wolves.
Years earlier, Roger had saved Ruby's family from a pack of wolves. His bravery had taken a toll on the wolves, and the villagers had asked him to stay and train them. But one day, Roger had left the village without a trace.
Now, the wolves were back. They had caught the village off guard, and they were slaughtering everyone in their path. Ruby's grandparents were killed trying to protect her, and she barely escaped with her life.
But Ruby was no longer the weak little girl she had been. She had witnessed the death of her grandparents, and she was filled with rage. She picked up her scythes and charged into the pack of wolves.
Ruby fought with all her strength, and she slaughtered almost all of the wolves. But Pale Tusk, the Wolf King, was too powerful for her. He knocked her to the ground and clawed out her eye.
Ruby lay bleeding on the ground, but she refused to give up. She vowed to avenge the death of her grandparents and to protect the village from the wolves. She would become a hunter, just like Roger.
Pale Tusk fled, but Ruby knew he would be back. She would be ready for him. She would train hard and become the strongest hunter in the land. She would make sure that no one else had to suffer the same fate as her grandparents.
Ruby stood up and looked at the skyline. She knew that she had a long journey ahead of her, but she was determined to make a happy ending for all the good people in every story.
