Lesley grew up in the Vance household, where her father was the head of security. One day, a rival family attacked the Vance household, and Lesley's father was killed. Lesley was devastated, but she knew that she had to protect her family. She took up her father's black long rifle and fought off the attackers, killing every last one of them.
After the attack, Lesley was adopted by the Vance family. The patriarch of the family, Lord Vance, put his sole heir, Harley, under Lesley's care. Harley was a natural troublemaker, and he often used his magic to cause chaos. Lesley was the only one who could keep him in line. She was also the only one who could see the good in him.
One day, Harley ran away from home. Lesley knew that he was headed for the dangerous Land of Dawn, so she set out after him. After a long and arduous journey, she found Harley in the Land of Dawn. He had changed a lot since she had last seen him. He was no longer the immature young boy that he had been. He had grown into a strong and capable young man.
Lesley decided that it was best for Harley to continue his training alone. She would stay in the shadows and protect him from harm. From that day on, all of the monsters that Harley defeated were also struck down by a black bullet. The stories of the magical youngster who was followed by a mysterious black sniper soon spread like wildfire.
Lesley and Harley continued to travel the Land of Dawn together, fighting for justice and protecting the innocent. They became known as the best marksman and mage duo in the land. They were feared by their enemies and loved by their allies. They were the heroes that the Land of Dawn needed.
